FAO Regional Conferences

In the framework of the International Year of Family Farming (IYFF), the FAO organizes a series of Regional Conferences in collaboration with civil society members, experts and policy-makers. The regional conferences aimed to discuss between different actors (family farmers, small farmers and their organizations, government representatives, policy makers and researchers) to increase the understanding of the family farming context in each region, including the identification of challenges, the opportunities for agricultural investment as well as the policy priorities to achieve food security and hunger eradication. AMARC is covering or sharing the coverage of 5 regional conferences scheduled as following:

Asia Pacific (OulanBaatar, Mongolia): 10-14 March 2014

Africa  (Tunis, Tunisia): 21-28 March 2014

Europe and Central Asia (Bucharest, Romania): 1-4 April 2014

Latin America and the Caribbean  (Santiago, Chile): 6-9 May 2014
