Japan - The White Ribbon Campaign to fight women violence

The number of such victims amounts to approximately 18 million. It is a long process for women and children who have suffered domestic violence to recover from the trauma both physically and emotionally and to rebuild their lives. Domestic violence infringes human rights of women and children.

The program presents the work of Women’s Net Kobe, a non-profit organization supporting women and children who are victims of violence. They actively participate in the movement "White Ribbon Campaign". Their mission is to eradicate violence against women. The activities include consultation over telephone, management of an emergency and temporary shelter, providing assistance to rebuild lives of victims.
