The Forum on ComDev & Community Media for Family Farming (FCCM) starts soon

The Forum will take place at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy from 23-24 October 2014 to raise awareness about the role of ComDev methods and tools as drivers for innovation and family farmers’ participation in rural development strategies. It will also identify opportunities for new demand-driven rural communication services as an integral part of public policies for rural and agricultural development.

The virtual consultations allows to share success stories, experiences, discuss and share knowledge between rural development stakeholders and advocates for rural development who uses communication as an asset for family farming and work towards the creation of regional programs. AMARC welcomes new licences granted for Tunisian community radio

Montreal, September 3rd, 2014. The World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) welcomes the decision of the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA) to grant eight new licenses for the establishment and operation of community radio channels. "This is a historic day not only for Tunisia but for all the states of North Africa and the Middle East," commented Francesco Diasio, Secretary General of AMARC, following the decision of the HAICA.
